Trigonometry stands for the measurement of triangles. We're not going to get into the geometry behind it, but you will need to remember this weird word: "SOHCAHTOA"
The SOHCAHTOA definition, in terms of a triangle's vertices, defines the following ratios:
Trigonometric functions have a special property, they oscillate, that is, they change between certain values that we know, all the time.
We can use these to control signals, machinery, data, waves of all types, calculate vectors and a lot of other stuff that are the foundation of mathematics.
