Review - Trigonometry

Well, well. You survived this far!
Surprise, it will get a bit easier from now on. The rest will mostly be noticing patterns and just "imagining" things. Math is really just a lot of small things that sound way bigger than they should.

Let's review what you learned in this chapter:

  • The fundamental trigonometric identity, otherwise known as The Pythagorean Identity:
  • The sine is odd.
  • The cosine is even.
  • Periodicity, the function having a period, means that "this function's graph has a pattern that repeats every x period"
  • The sine and cosine have a period of 2pi.
  • The sine and cosine oscillate between -1 and 1.
  • The sine starts at 0, the cosine starts at 1.
  • You defined the tangent:
  • You defined the cotangent:
  • You defined the Secant:
  • You defined the Cosecant:
  • The cotangent and tangent have a period of pi.
  • You learned the angle addition and subtraction identities:
  • You then learned the Double Angle Identities: Ready to move on to the next chapter?
