2- Integration Notation - The Indefinite Integral

The Integral Symbol

The integral symbol, which is similar to some magical looking music note, is the following:
It's preceded by some function, and ended by dx, dy, or whatever variable.
This is not to be considered in any way in the process of integrating. This just tells you what you're integrating for. Like, what the variable to take into the consideration is.

Example of an integral

This is the indefinite integral.

It will be the function that gives us a function that generally represents how much the function we're integrating for will change across intervals. Don't worry, it will make sense soon.
